From the organiser:
Join us for the live premiere screening of “Silent Strength: Black Introverts’ Experience,” a moving documentary that delves into the lives of Black introvert professionals navigating today’s dynamic workplace. This powerful film captures their unique stories, shining a light on the overlooked experiences of introverts in environments that favour extroverted qualities.
Through candid interviews, our participants share their personal journeys, answering critical questions that resonate with many of the professional landscapes:
Misunderstandings in the workplace: Discover specific instances where people’s introversion was misjudged, and learn how they transformed these challenges into opportunities for growth and understanding.
Impact on professional development: Explore how their introverted nature has shaped their career paths, and uncover the strategies they’ve used to thrive in extrovert-dominated environments.
Messages to employers: Hear the powerful insights these professionals want to convey to employers about the importance of recognising and valuing the contributions of Black introverts, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
This event promises to be an enlightening experience, sparking important conversations about diversity, equity, and the need for workplaces that honour more diverse voices. Join us for an evening of inspiration, reflection, and community as we celebrate the silent strengths that Black introverts bring to their professions.
